WahooGlue100x245Expert Basement Repair
will now be representing Wahoo Glue! A new Highest Quality Structural Glue.

Wahoo Glue is a high quality 2-part epoxy resin suitable for residential, commercial, and structural applications. Wahoo Glue combines the strength and reliability of a two-part Epoxy with point-and-shoot convenience. The self-metering coaxial cartridge dispenses a gap-filling structural epoxy that bonds tenaciously to wood, metals, fiberglass and concrete. The tube comes with a static mixer that lets you lay down a bead of thickened epoxy with any standard caulking gun. ....see www.wahooglue.com for more information.

For solid poured concrete walls there are two considerations for crack repair.

For wet leaking wall cracks,  two component urethane rapidly expands when it comes in contact with moisture, filling voids both within the crack and behind the wall, quickly hardening to a flexible and permanent repair. When the structural integrity of the concrete is a problem, or believed to be a problem, epoxy is the preferred material for injection. Epoxies effectively seal cracks while reinforcing the repair area to be stronger than the non-repaired area around it.

For wet cracked walls:
We utilize a hydrophobic two part polyurethane liquid which is designed to stop water infiltration. When this liquid meets water, it reacts with it and then repels any excess water forming a closed cell foam barrier which will not allow water to pass through it. This formulation adheres tenaciously to practically all substrates, wet or dry. It is typically used to stop water leaks coming through cracked or honeycombed concrete, voids between wall and floor, wall and ceilings, expansion joints, cold joints and pipe intrusions. It is also used to repair concrete walls, ceilings and floors that are leaking. It is used in tunnel, manhole, sewer line, concrete dam and parking deck repairs.  It is designed to be used when greater than 20% movement (expansion and contraction) of the substrate is anticipated or where epoxy is not considered  necessary.

For Dry cracked walls:
We utilize a hydrophilic two part, 100% solids, moisture insensitive epoxy resin system which has a high modulus of elasticity. This product rapidly thickens in the crack so that material cannot leak out the back for more than 10-20 minutes. This is a structural repair in which the epoxied crack is stronger than the surrounding wall material. It is best to compliment a structural repair with Fortress carbon fiber staples so that a new crack doesn't form alongside the repaired crack. This method will also stop water infiltration but not as well as a polyurethane based injection.
